Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh presents unamplified chamber music, jazz and world music concerts. But there is also room for experimental music and young talent. Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh can accommodate 250 people. The Leeuwenbergh was built in 1567 as a hostel to isolate plague victims, though it was never served in that capacity. It was used by the French army and the university, and for a time served as a church.
